Raymond Etienne

Raymond Joseph Etienne 73 departed this life on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

Raymond was a lifelong resident of Westlake, Louisiana and graduated from Mossville High School Class of 1965.  He was a member of the basketball team.

Raymond was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Male Chorus and served as a deacon.  He attended Sunday School and Prayer Meeting.  Raymond was a U.S. Veteran and served in the Vietnam War.  His hobbies were fixing cars and loved being outside.  Raymond was a great husband and father.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Catheren Phillips Etienne; one daughter, Tiffany (Anthony) Faulk of Westlake, La.; special daughter, Marquetta Etienne of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mayola (Lloyd) Gibbs of Houston, Tx.; four brothers, Edward (Lillie) Etienne, Adam (Pearlie) Etienne Jr. of Houston, Tx., Clifton (Juana) Etienne of Madrid, Spain and Ronald Etienne of Houston, Tx.; grandchildren, Genesis, Shaniya, and Zion Etienne and Ja'Mariana Guillory; wonderful godchildren, Buford Otis Jr., Kayla Pete Mosley of Lake Charles, La., Lashawnda Hardy Green of New Orleans, La., Curvis Thomas of Westlake, La., Byron Johnson Sr. of Lake Charles, La.,  Tamara Nance of Upper Malboro, Maryland and Marcus Etienne of New Orleans,  La.; special nieces, Portia Guillory of Lake Charles, La., Tonja Phillips of Washington, D.C. and Evelyn Etienne of Sulphur, La.; very best friend, Douglas Smith of Lake Charles, La.
