Agnes Deloris Veal Mayo
May 3, 1927 – October 15, 2025
Agnes Deloris Veal Mayo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and lifelong servant of Christ, passed away peacefully at the age of 98. Born in LeCompte, Louisiana, to the late Issac and Agnes LaMothe Veal, she later made Lake Charles her home in 1947.

In 1948, she married Richard Charles Mayo, and their loving union lasted 37 years until his passing in 1985.
Agnes joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church and was baptized in 1965. She faithfully served for over 60 years in various ministries, including the Mission, Hospitality, Food Ministry, and as a prayer coordinator and quilting teacher. Her life was rooted in faith, family, and service.
She was preceded in death by her son, Issac "Sonny" Veal; three brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Tyrone Mayo Sr. (Claudia), Brenda Cook (Melvin), and Wandra White (Huber); five sisters; one daughter-in-law; one brother-in-law, ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
