Bessie Jean Victorian-Irvin
June 30, 1946 – December 21, 2025
Our hearts are heavy as we share the news of our beloved Bessie’s passing. Born in Bell City, LA, the second of seven children, to the late Allen and Lorenia Victorian. She attended Vinton Negro High School. Bessie later moved north to Waukegan, IL where she met and married Elisha Irvin Jr. Of that marriage, four children were born. Bessie lived in this area for 42 years before returning to Louisiana to be near family and help care for her mother.
She brought so much love, joy and kindness to everyone who knows her and will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three children. Elisha III (Brandi) Irvin, Felicia (Nickey) Geater, Trinette (Finbar) Henry, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, siblings, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Betty Neal and Ethel Simms, brother Sidney Victorian, daughter Tracey Irvin & grandson Eric Irvin Sr.
