Billy “Still Bill” Miller was born on September 17, 1967 in Lake Charles, LA. He was the fifth of seven children born to the union of Beatrice Lewis Miller and the late William S. Miller. He was baptized at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mount Olive Baptist Church under the leader ship of the late Reverend Arvie.

Billy attended John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Rosteet Junior High School and graduated from W. O. Boston High School in 1985. After graduating from high school, Billy attended Sowela Technical Institute and studied auto mechanics. He then worked at Pithon Construction. Als Yard work became a favorite past time for Billy.

Billy was a kind and loving father, brother, uncle and great uncle. Before his health declined, his hobbies were watching sports, going fishing, cooking, dancing, and listening to music.

On January 23,2022 at 3:30 p.m. after a lengthy illness, Billy was called home to rest and departed this worldly life while a patient at. Harbor Hospices of Lake Charles, La

Billy was preceded in death by his father, William S. Miller, a sister, Elizbeth Miller, maternal grandparents, Stanley and Rose Lewis, paternal grandparents, August and Pearl Miller, two nephews, August Belton and Isaiah Ruffin, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Billy leaves to cherish his memories his son, Billy Ray Miller; mother, Beatrice Lewis; four sisters, Abby (Larry) Rosamore, Verna (Johnathon) Ruffin, Karen (Calvin) Sylvester all of Lake Charles, LA, and Bernice Miller of Dallas, TX; three brothers, David Miller of Lake Charles, LA, and William and Chad Lastrapes of Sulphur, LA;  (6)nieces, Tosha (Fred) Comeaux, Kristy Valerie, Karen Miller and Jasmine Miller all of Lake Charles, LA , Desiraye Rosamore of Sugarland, TX and Victoria Egbun of Dallas, TX; (3) nephews, Adrian Stevens, David Miller Jr., of Lake Charles, LA , Nial Egbun of Atlanta Georgia. Also treasuring his memory are a host of great nieces and great nephews, relatives and friends.
