Carmen D. Vital was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on January 31, 1959 to the late Andrew and Rose Hebert. She departed this life according to God’s appointed time on Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was a military spouse who traveled the world for over 24 years.
Carmen leaves to cherish her loving memories; her beloved husband Earl Vital Sr. SGM, U.S. ARMY (Retired) of Lake Charles; her daughters Candace Vital and Samantha Vital of Lake Charles; her son Earl Vital Jr. of Lake Charles; her son-in-law William “Bill” Hofmann of Guyton, GA; six grandchildren Andre Hofmann of Lake Charles, Justus Hofmann of Guyton, GA, Aaliyah Brooks, Mariyah Majors, Isabella Vital and Earl Vital III all of Lake Charles; two great-grandchildren Andrea Hofmann and Jayceon Hofmann of Tampa Bay, FL; one Goddaughter Deandra Wallace of Houston, TX. She also leaves to cherish four sisters; Rita Hebert of Seattle, WA; Thelma Long of Flowery Branch, GA; Reverend; Margaret and Ronnie Bias of Morgan City, LA; Nancy Hebert of Broussard, LA; her sister-in-law Hilda Hebert of Lafayette and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rose Hebert; her father Andrew Hebert; her brothers Andrew Hebert and Victor Hebert; her sisters Mary Lou Antione, Sally Bartley, Margie Vaughn, Betty Guyton, Antoinette Ruffin; her daughter Anttonia Hofmann and host of nieces and nephews.
