Pastor Charles Allen Robertson Sr. was born July 22, 1960 to the union of Earl Robertson and Elsie Jones Robertson.  He accepted Christ at an early age and spent his lifetime serving the Lord.  He departed this life on January 5, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

His education began in the Lake Charles City School System, at Jackson Street Elementary.  He attended Lincoln Junior High and graduated  from Washington High School in 1978.  Charles was actively involved in many activities, including football, which he played for four years.  He was an avid football player and later became one of the founders of the Washington Marion Athletic Booster Club.

After high school, Charles joined the United States Army.  He received many awards and accolades, moving up the ranks very quickly.  He served a total of twenty-three years, retiring at the rank Sergeant Major.

A proud member of his church, Charles became Youth Pastor and Administrator at United Christian Fellowship Ministries where he served for eighteen years, before being promoted to the position of Assistant Pastor and Administrator.  He was a faithful, dedicated servant of the Lord and served in this position until his death.

Serving people was Pastor Charles passion.  He willingly accepted every opportunity possible to serve everyone with integrity, compassion, love, understanding, and dignity.  He had a very giving heart and played a significant role in the lives of many.  He was a remarkable inspiration to all who crossed his path.  Many lives were enhanced by his influence and encouragement.  He was a guiding light for many young people and to every life that he touched.  His strong faith, wisdom, and earnest devotion had a very positive effect on their character and behavior.  Charles encouraged all people to live their lives full of kindness, joy, and love for others.  He was always willing to share with family, friends, and even with strangers.  He was always concerned about others and set phenomenal examples for all.  He left astonishing marks on many lives.
