Curtistene (Pipkins) Kirkwood

Curtistene Pipkins Kirkwood was born November 1, 1944 to Curtis and Claudia Pipkins.  She was the only biological child of Curtis and Claudia but there were a host of brothers and sisters during her childhood.

Curtistene married Ralph January of Lake Charles and had one son, Michael Anthony January.

Curtistene, after many years of living in Lake Charles crossed the bridge to settle back in Westlake where she took care of her grandmother Florence Parsons.  She remained in Westlake and was remarried to Clarence Kirkwood during her time in Westlake. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Curtistene leaves to mourn, her son and daughter in law, Michael and Bridgette January of Cedar Hill, Texas and her grandsons, Austin and Alex; one sister, Sherise Ashworth of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Joey Ashworth of Abilene, Texas; step daughter, James Ella Kirkwood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
