Dallas Brignac Sr. Obituary

Dallas Joseph Brignac Sr. 81 was born on July 27, 1938 in Eunice, La. to the late Earlis J. Brignac and Cecelia Goodly Brignac.  Affectionately, he was known and loved by many as "Soul".  He accecpted Christ at an early age.

Although, his education didn't exceed ninth grade.  One wouldn't have known it.  Amazingly, Dallas had the ability to take a lawnmower completely apart.  Then, assemble it back in the least amount of time.

In the early 1950's Dallas moved to Lake Charles, La.  Thereafter, God blessed him to marry the love of his life, Mattie Mae Blue.  They wedded in Holy Matrimony on March 3, 1957.  Wonderfully, to that union nine children were born.  On December 2, 1978 his dearest and beloved wife of twenty-one years went to meet the Lord.  Later, he met quite-spirited and sweet Louise 'Doc" Willmore Eugene.  They married and to this union he gained four loving, thoughtful and respectable step children.

Faithfully, throughout his life Dallas served as a security guard for the state of California, school crossing guard for the Lake Charles Sherriff Department and Walmart greeter on Hwy 14.  Also, he worked many years for Velocity Express, Habitat for Humanity as well as several construction companies.

Dallas was a lifelong, devoted and active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and The Knights of Peter Claver Inc.

Soul's most joyous fulfillments were watching his favorite western movies, WrestleMania and The Price Is Right, playing his fiddle, dining at Ryan's Restaurant and spending time with family and friends.  Especially, those at the Bingo Palace.  Last, but not least he loved spoiling his precious pet dog of eleven years, Pepper.

Dallas departed his life on Thursday, February 27, 2020 surrounded by his loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earlis and Cecelia Brignac, wife and mother of his children Mattie Mae Blue Brignac; wife, Louise "Doc" Willmore Eugene Brignac, daughter Jennifer Brignac Majors; brother, Wallace Brignac, two sisters, Mary Lou Brignac Guillory and Casey Jean Brignac; grandson, Cornelius Quinn Majors.

Dallas leaves to cherish his love legacy son, Dallas Jr. (Veronica) Brignac; seven daughters, Jessica (David Sr.) Singleton, Jennell (Terry Sr.) Guillory, Velvet (Christopher) Chretien, Eliza Brignac, Abigail Brignac all of Lake Charles, La., Cecelia Brignac of Cypress, Tx. aand Letetia Brignac of Northridge, Ca.; Also, his four step children, Carl (Kathy) Willmore, Cheryl Hawkins, Evelyn Hardin all of Lake Charles, La. and Cynthia Eugene of Atlanta, Ga.; three aunts, Gladys G.
