David Travis Riggins passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019

Mr. Riggins was the First Black Alderman and former Mayor of Vinton, Louisiana.

He is survived by one son, Dicardo Riggins of Plano, Tx.; two daughters, DeLisa Riggins Oneal of Vinton, La. and Deatriz Riggins of Geismar, La.; three sisters, Dorothy (Albert) Miller of Timmonsville, S.C., Francis (Charles) Ford of Monroe, La. and Angel (Calvin) Williams of Houston, Tx.; four brothers, Thomas (Mabel) Riggins of Vinton, La., Booker T. (Glenda) Riggins Jr. of Orange, Tx. Isaac (Gloria) Riggins and Andrew (Valory) Riggins of Vinton, La.; 7 grandchildren, Xavier, Kalen, Korey, Gabriel, DeLaila, Analise, and Joseph Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
