Debra Ann Green Jenkins
Debra was born on February 3, 1966 to the late Melvin Green and Esther Green in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Debra accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Old Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She attended Lake Charles Boston High School before going on to work with the Lake Charles Police Jury for over 20 years before her health began to decline in early 2023.
Debra LOVED to shop, decorate, and spend time with her family and friends. Wherever she went she was always known as the life of the party. Wherever you saw Debra, you were always greeted with a beautiful smile.
Debra peacefully departed this earthly life on November 27, 2023 at Calcasieu Community Care Center.
Preceding Debra in death are; her father, Melvin Green, sister, Verna Stagg, and her precious grandson, Ace Reed.
Left to cherish her memories are; her mother Lou Esther Green of Lake Charles, LA, one daughter, Ashley(Gerald)Jenkins-Reed of Lake Charles, LA, two sons; Reginald F. Jenkins Jr. and Darius B. Charles, both of Lake Charles, LA, one grandson Amir J. Reed of Lake Charles, LA, two sisters; Beverly Deurso and Margie Jacques both of Lake Charles, LA; one brother Calvin(Lynn)Green of San Antonio Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
