Dorothy Jean (Ball) Rankins

Dorothy J. Rankins 68 departed this life on Thursday, February 13, 2020.  

A lifelong resident of Dequincy, Dorothy was born September 14, 1951 to the late Clarence Ball Sr. and Ola Ball.

Dorothy was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Mission Department and was a member of the choir.  She was a Teacher's Aide for 25 years at Dequincy Middle School.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her husband, John B. Rankins Jr. of Dequincy, La.; one daughter, Charlcye Jeanise Rankins of Dequincy, La.; two sisters, Clarece Ball of Houston, Tx. and Minnie Frank of Dequincy, La.; godchild, Kristie Lynn Harris and a host of other nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Sr. and Ola Ball; four brothers, Clarence, James, Donald Ball and Curtis McIntyre; and  one sister, Mary Ann Roberts.
