Ethel Lee Anderson "Lou" was born September 21, 1959 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Arthur and Mary Tillman Anderson. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Straightway Baptist Church, where she was baptized under the leadership of the late Pastor Willie Stevens. While living in Lake Charles, Ethel was a proud attendee of Marion High School.
In her daily walk of life, Ethel "Lou" was a woman of few words. She loved to cook for the family, everyone knew she had a great heart and she was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need.
On the morning of Thursday, October 3, 2019, her God and Creator, looked down from Heaven and had compassion upon his suffering servant. He heard her cry and pitied her every groan. He sent to her rescue, one of his angels to call her from labor to rest. We loved her, but the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, loved her more, and already prepared a place where she can rest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Arthur Anderson; two sons, Edwin "Pookie Doo" Anderson and Gerald C. Anderson; and godparents, James and Rose January.
Those left to miss her presence, but cherish her memories are two sons, Joshua E. Anderson of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Howard C. Anderson of Lake Charles, La.; one sister, Alice (Bobby) Brown of Moss Bluff, La.; special nephew, Aaron Brown; raised as a sister, Donna (Mark) Lamb; one god child, Roeisha Lamb; raised as her brothers, Eric (Shemeka) January, Kevin (Felicia) January and Van January; one great aunt, Geneva Robinson of Lake Charles, La. and her sweet angel friend, Aden George.
