On Saturday July 12, 2025, Floyd Cormier Jr. departed this life at the age of 76. Floyd was born to Mildred Robertson Fobbs and Floyd Cormier Sr. in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Floyd attended Mill Street School. Floyd worked for Booker T Housing, emptying trash cans and cleaning yards in the early 1960s-1980s.
Floyd was a former member of St. John Holiness and currently a Deacon at Glory to Glory Holiness. He enjoyed mingling with other's at Abraham's Tent and listening to church music. Floyd will be remembered for his sweet and kind nature. He was loved by many.
Floyd leaves to cherish his memory of his siblings, Peggy Livings of Lake Charles, La., Ricky Cormier (Vanessa) of Elton, La., Wilbert Lafleur (Rebecca), of Lake Charles, La., Vincent Cormier of Lake Charles, La., and Johnny Brown (Diane) of Lacassine, La.
Floyd was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Robertson-Fobbs ; father, Floyd Cormier Sr.; three sisters, Mary Ann Francis, Evadale and Wilmadale Viltz and two brothers, Johnnny and Joe Viltz; nieces, Shaketta, Crystal, and Bridgette; nephews, Kenneth, Wilbert Jr., Craig and DePaul.
