Ivory Brooks Jr.

Ivory Brooks Jr. was born on April 29, 1959 in Lafayette, La. to the late Ivory and Leanna Brooks. He departed his earthly body on January 22, 2020 at his home.  Raised in Lake Charles, La., “Brooks”, as he was affectionately known, was popular in his local community. His humorous personality, catchy one-line phrases, and personal fashion style was hard for anyone not see and love him.  “Brooks” spoke to everyone and left a lasting impression on all he encountered.

He leaves to mourn his: Son-Kevin (DorLisa) Brooks Sr, Grandchildren -Dillon, Whalon, and Kevin Brooks Jr.  and Great-grandchild- Daylan Brooks. He also leaves his siblings-Gregory Brooks, Pamela (David) Sutton, Michael (Brenda) Brooks, and Sherwin (Natalie) Brooks.  A host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones are also left to mourn his passing. He is preceded in death by: Father- Ivory Brooks Sr, Mother-Leanna Brooks, and Son-Ivory Brooks III.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for loved ones to donate to Abraham's Tent.  A local community outreach that was near and dear to Brooks.
