Jessie Leon Sowells

Jessie "Got" Leon Sowells kept his first appointment ordained by God on May 31, 2020 at the age of 67.

Jessie was born January 4, 1953 in Lake Charles, La. to the union of the late John W. Sowells and Jestine Sowells of Lake Charles, La.  He was baptized and worked for the Lord at an early age.

Jessie attended and graduated from elementary to high schools in Lake Charles, as well attended McNeese State University, LL Community College in Los Angeles studying music, computer science, law, business administration.

Jessie retired in 2004 and returned to Lake Charles after being a 25 year resident of Los Angeles, Ca.  He was well known for his music talent given to the worshipping of God.  He loved music and art.  He realized one has to have a relationship with God.

Jessie was preceded in death by his 1 brother and 1 sister.

Jessie leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers, and six sisters; Danny Sowells Sr., John Sowells and Robert Sowells, Brenda G. Gray, Vienne Rice, Arlene George, Doretha (Eric) Jackson, Elizabeth (Daniel) Valenzuela and Virginia Carrier, also a host of nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.  Also Jessie leaves to cherish his memories are his Bosom friend, Francine Atlas of Los Angeles, California and best friend, Velma Landry of Lake Charles.
