Joseph Melvin Walker, also affectionately called "T-Boy", was born on December 13, 1944 in Carencro, La. to the late Melvin Walker and Bernice (Mouton) Walker.
Joseph enjoyed music and is credited as a Zydeco pioneer. He is known throughout Louisiana, the US, and International for his musical contributions. He also enjoyed technology related tasks, fishing, attending horse races, and working with his hands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Bernice (Mouton) Walker; four brothers, Berlin Walker and Darrell Walker, Clifton Walker, and Louis Walker; two sisters, Dorothy Walker and Mary Lou Walker; a son, Joseph Bernard Walker; and a daughter, Angela Walker.
He leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Percy Walker of Lake Charles, La.; two sons, David (Karen) Walker and Donald Walker both of Houston, Tx.; two daughters, Pamela (Terry) Arvie of Omaha, Ne and Tracy (Dallas) Singleton of Houston, Tx.; two bonus sons, Kenneth (Tanzie) Smith of Lake Charles, La. and Eugene (Deandralette) Andrews Smith of Houston, Tx.; one bonus daughter, Serita (Mark) Simien of Houston, Tx. 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
