Joy Clark 70 departed this life on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Joy was a resident of Westlake, La. and the former First Lady of Good Hope Baptist Church for 34 years. She was a member of the Mission Department, Choir, Deaconess, and Minister's Wives Fellowship.
She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Dana Clark (Jamol) Brocks of Heartland, Tx., Patrick (Marquetta) Clark of Wylie, Tx. and Tamara Clark of Lake Charles, La.; Freddie Harrison III who she raised of Lake Charles, La.; father, Manuel Washington of Lake Charles, La.; eight sisters, Geraldine Chaney of Port Arthur, Tx., Lois Brannigan of San Bernardino, Ca., Ruth Duhon, Brenda (Freddie) Harrison, Nola Gardner, Etta (Mark) Perron, Wilma Washington, and Vidalia August of Lake Charles, La.; four brothers, David (Pamela) Washington, Emanuel (Karen) Washington, Daniel (Kathleen) Washington of Lake Charles, La. and Samuel Batiste of Atlanta, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lessie Washington; son, Darrell Wayne Clark; husband, Pastor Madison Clark Jr.; two brothers, James Breaux and Phillip Washington and one sister, Gaynell Washington.
