On May 29, 1958 a bouncy baby girl was born to the proud parents, Joseph Hayes Jr. and Margie Anderson of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
She attended Lake Charles High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Karen Hayes accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at the New Emmanuel Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
She retired from Cintas. Karen Hayes was employed at Popeyes and Churches Fried Chicken.
On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Karen departed this earthly life. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hayes Jr.; mother, Margie Anderson; stepfather, Riley Anderson and husband Samuel Hayes.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Rev. Tyron Nickerson of Houston, Tx., TiQua Hayes of Lake Charles, La. and Jomond and wife Tanya Hayes of Houston, Tx.; her godmother, Mary L. Nickerson of Lake Charles, La.; friend, Mr. Cole Evans of Pineville, La.; siblings, Joseph Guilbeaux of Dallas, Tx., Tony and Douglas Hayes of Gary, In; six grandchildren, D'Isha Hayes, Megan and Monte Price, Gabrielle Harden, JaQualias and Gi'Nia Hayes; seven great grandchidren, Ireyian and Ramone Hayes, Zhuri and Zion Bartee-Wilson, Ih'Zaidan, Me'ja Price and Ky'Dynn Bryant-Harden. She leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends to her memory.
