Katherine Mathis, 51, departed this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born on March 21, 1969, to Leo Mathis, Sr. and Anner Mathis of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 1987. Katherine worked at Briscoe Substance Abuse Center as a Site Tech Supervisor and a Nurses Assistant at Moss Memorial.
"Kat" as many would call her was a loving, kind, and compassionate person who loved to bargain shop and spend time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Mathis, Sr. and Anner Lee Mathis; and one brother Robert Mathis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Gloria Jean (Mathis) Haile; three brothers, Leo (Anna) Mathis, Jr., Terry (Dawn) Mathis, and Clarence Mathis; one uncle, Adam Mathis, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
