Kristie Harris Obituary

Kristie Lynn Ball Harris born on July 23, 1973 in DeQuincy, Louisiana, was the beloved eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Minnie) Frank Jr.  From an early age, Kristie committed her life to Christ through baptism at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a devoted member throughout her life, actively participating in the Youth Department and Ladies Mission.

Kristie graduated from DeQuincy High School in 1992 and continued her education at her mother's alma mater, Southern University and A & M College in Baton Rouge, LA.  Upon her return to DeQuincy, Kristie worked in private home health, offering compassionate care to others.

In 1998, Kristie's life took a joyous turn when she met the love of her life, THEE Byron L. Harris!  From that point forward, the couple was inseparable.  On January 1, 2000, Kristie and Byron made their covenant with God surrounded by family and friends.  In 2011, Kristie and Byron's union was blessed with the arrival of their cherished daughter, Isabella Janie Harris.

Following Byron's passing in 2012, Kristie dedicated her life to Isabella.  She enjoyed crafting, cooking with her daughter, and watching Hallmark movies.  Kristie was known and loved by many for her quiet, yet sassy personality.

Kristie's radiance, humor, and love continues to shine through her beloved daughter, Isabella Janay  Harris, godchildren, DeAndre and Angel, her father, Robert Frank Jr., her sisters, Roberta Frank, Carla (Brandon) Harris, Robbie (Garry) Kennebrew, and her godsister, Charlcye Rankins, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kristie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence (Ola) Ball Sr., her husband, Byron L. Harris, and her mother, Minnie B. Frank.

The family wishes to thank Pastor Rev. James B. Harris and First Lady Linda Harris, the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church family, and Stevens' Funeral Home.  Much gratitude is extended to all whom have prayed.  Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers and cards, please consider contributing to Isabella’s future education endeavors https://gift.my529.org/J0EC5N
