Lawrence Jones Jr. peacefully transitioned from this life on November 27, 2024, at 3:14 PM, in his apartment in Beaumont, TX. Born in Lake Charles, LA, on April 4, 1966, Lawrence lived a life full of service, faith, and joy.

Graduating high school from LaGrange in 1984, Lawrence went on to serve his country with pride in the Air Force from February 1986 to December 1989. As an Air Passenger Specialist, he achieved the rank of E-3 A1C. After his military service, he pursued various careers, most notably dedicating his time as a security guard and creating his own businesses in real estate.

Lawrence found the Lord Jesus as his savior at a young age and was a devoted member of his church, often singing in the choir. In the later years of his life, he placed his trust fully in the Lord, allowing his faith to guide his steps.

He loved good music, enjoyed sipping his glass, and smoking cigars, while cherishing moments with friends and family, always bringing laughter to those around him.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Jones Sr., stepfather Raymond Williams, stepmother Teresa "Tee" Jones, and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Laura Williams of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Shannon Williams of Lake Charles, LA; his wife, Rosalind Jones of Lake Charles, LA; and ex-wife, Jocqueline R. Jones of Lake Charles, LA. His memory will also be cherished by his three sons, Joshua R. Vital Sr. of Pensacola, FL, Lawrence R. Jones, and Dante D. Jones both of Lake Charles, LA; his daughter, Laila Jones of Lake Charles, LA; and his two grandchildren, Joshua R. Vital Jr. and Bryxin N. Vital both of Lake Charles, along with a host of family and friends.

May his soul rest in peace, and his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
