Lawrence Mark “Scrap Iron” Weldon was born October 24, 1960 to Leola Semien Weldon and Timothy Weldon, Sr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Lawrence leaves to mourn his wife, Stephanie Weldon, three stepchildren (Contessa, Lacretia, Leon and six grandchildren; five sisters: Etta Theresa Chaplin (Bobby), Jacqulyn Blackman (Leonard) Kenya Brown, Katheen Jean, Joyce Reed; brothers: John L. Weldon, Anthony J. Weldon (Constance), Peter D. Weldon (Willa Mae); Godmother, Carol Ann Lewis; Special Friend, Dayna Hobbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Timothy Weldon, Jr., Dave Weldon, Charles Weldon) and five sisters (Mary Elizabeth Weldon, Lillie Mae Green, Margarite Weldon, Barbara Weldon, Carolyn Brown).
