Loretta Ledoux Flagg departed this life on Nov 11,2024 after a brief stay at Harbor Hospice Care.
Loretta was born on July 3, 1948 to the union of George LeDoux (Sr) and Bertha LeDoux. She was the eldest of six children . She gave her life to Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. N. P. Jones at Old Emanuel Baptist Church and later moved her membership at New Covenant Faith Baptist Church. She loved Pastor Stevens and her church family.
Loretta was a graduate of Washington High School and McNeese State University! She received her Master’s and Bachelor Degree in Education. She taught French and English at W O Boston and became head Counselor at Lake Charles Boston High School. She loved her school and could be heard yelling Lllllll C B!!!! often!
Loretta was an excellent basketball player, she sang gospel songs in a group , loved to cook and go to garage sales. Her family loved her cornbread dressing and broccoli rice cheese casserole! (sorry she didn't leave the recipes ..lol)
She was preceded in death by her parents , George LeDoux (Sr) and Bertha LeDoux, her husband, Murray Flagg,; two sisters, Sherry LeDoux Threats and Georgana LeDoux Carter and her husband, Alfred Carter Jr. (Brother in law) and one nephew, Alfred Carter III
She leaves to cherish her memories , three sons- Damien (Yolanda) Ledoux of Baytown, Texas, Kynlin (Sharone) Flagg, and Keeland Flagg Sr. all of Lake Charles . one bonus son, Jerr’rie Phillips,of Lafayette; two brothers, Frank Adams and George LeDoux Jr. of Lake Charles, La. and one sister, Belinda LeDoux of Lake Charles; one god child, Kristian Jack of Lake Charles; 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and neighbors who loved her dearly. Special longtime friends, Ms. Elvina Bland and Ms. Naomi Beverly of Lake Charles whom she admire greatly Also to Ms. Joann Frank who assisted Loretta in many ways, you are appreciated.
Loretta impacted the lives of many throughout her years of education and she remembered every student she ever taught. She will be greatly missed!
