Louanna Celestine was born on February 8, 1954 to Eula Mae Stevens and Houston Pete Celestine in Lake Charles, La.
She grew up in church as she dedicated her life to Christ at a young age She was the second of 9 children but was looked up to as the oldest. Louanna was a high school graduate of Washington High School class of 1972, then Delta Technical College School of Business.
Louanna dedicated about 15 years to the Calcasieu Parish School Board Cafeteria Program but ultimately retired from Walmart Supercenter where she worked as a cashier for over 20 years. After retirement, she enjoyed working with Elementary students as a Foster Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by both parents, and older brother, Herbert L. Celestine of Los Angeles, Ca and younger sister, Jeanie Celestine of Lake Charles, La.
She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Damon R. Celestine, Micole J. Celestine of Lake Charles, La. and JaMarcus Celestine of Atlanta, Georgia; three granddaughters, LaDaysia Celestine of Lake Charles, La and Briah and Brandith Celestine of Forney, Texas; a great grandson and great granddaughter; four sisters, Mary Jane Celestine of Nashville, Tn., Darlene (Robert) Carter of Nashville, Tn., Priscella (William) Landry of Lake Charles, La. and Patricia (Curtis) Joseph of Carencro, La.; two brothers, Chester Celestine of Dallas, Tx. and Eric Williams of Lake Charles, La.; a blessed amount of nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who are all proud of the life well lived!
