Marva Frank Obituary

Our earthly angel has gained her well deserved wings

Marva Frank born July 18, 1956 in Lafayette, Louisiana, has joined her beloved daughter Marissa Frank, her late parents Leonard and Olevia Mayo and brothers Leonard Jr. Gary and Jerome in the arms of our Lord . Marva was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Sylvia Glover and her paternal grandparents, Emile and Aria Mayo.

Her departure leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories through her family, including her devoted husband Paul, daughter Maranda, son Maurice, granddaughters Olivia and Harmony,; sister, Kathline Mayo; adopted sister, Mahogany Mayo Porter and countless other family members who were touched by her boundless love and kindness.

Her devotion to teaching was her heart and soul as she rejoiced in seeing her students soar in their lives and careers. She taught in public school systems for over 28 years and was certified in Louisiana, Washington State and Missouri. Marva was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority .  She also sang with the Lake Charles Chorus and Orchestra until she relocated to another state.  Marva enjoyed singing and performing!  God blessed her with a beautiful gift of singing and she used her talents to sing in choirs, weddings, churches and community events.  Unfortunately her illness ended her teaching career, and eventually brought her back closer to family in Pearland, Texas. Marva fought the Good Fight and our merciful God gave her rest in the arms of her husband and children. Please pray with the family as we celebrate her homecoming.

Matthew 6: 9 – 13 (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our father who art in heaven, hollowed be thy name thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the Kingdom and the Power, and the Glory, Forever and Ever, Amen
