Micheal Wayne Jones

Michael Wayne "Mike" Jones, 58, departed this life on Friday, May 10th, 2024 at River Oaks Nursing Home, Baton Rouge, LA.  He was born July 15th, 1965 to Hayward and Hattie Lee Jones in Houston, TX.

Michael "Mike" grew up in the Mossville Community where he attended Mossville Jr. High and then Sulphur High School in Sulphur, LA.

He joined St. Matthew Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Ezekiel Joubert and now Dr. E W. Ford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayward and Hattie Lee Jones; a grandson, Titan Melancon; brother, Leonard Jones and sister, Annette Darlene Miller.

He is survived by his daughter, Dionysha Michelle Fenner and grandson Micah Boutte of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two brothers, Hayward (Brenda) Jones Jr. and Jimmy (Deborah) Jones both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three sisters, Hattie Young of Ville Platte, Louisiana; Dianne (Rev. Rodney) Mitchell; and Joyce Jones and a sister in law, Bernadine Jones all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
