Sister Patsy Braxton was born to Bessie Kelly and Dave Ross Sr. on June 9, 1949 in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
Patsy joined Willow Springs Baptist Church in 1993, where she served faithfully as a usher for 25 plus years. Patsy was also a member of the Women's Mission for 25 years. Patsy was known for having the best potato salad that will truly be missed.
She attended Mossville High School in Mossville, La. Patsy worked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board for 18 years before she retired in 2014.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband of 31 years Donald R. Braxton; two loving sons, Darrell (Susie) Vercher of Portland, Or and Jeffery Wayne Vercher of Memphis, Tn; one amazing daughter, Tameka Nicole Mitchell of Sulphur, La.; seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; her sisters, Glenda Sue Bennett of Lake Charles, La., Marlene (Brian) Kelly of Tiffton, Ga.; brothers, Matthew (Denise) Ross of Memphis, Tn., Dillard (Rita) Ross, Dave Ross Jr., Mike Ross of Lake Charles, La.; ; sisters in law, Ethel Lee Ross of Lake Charles, La., Cathy Williams, Sandra Hardy and Julia Dixon of Sulphur, La.; brothers in law, Jerry Noel of Lake Charles, La., Rodney (Bee) Bowen of Akron, Oh, Bryan (Nadine) Dixon of Humble, Tx, LV (Faye) Dixon of Houston, Tx. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
