Rachel Reneé Ryans , age 38, of Lake Charles, La., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2021

Rachel enjoyed life to the fullest. She attended school in Calcasieu parish graduating from LaGrange High School in May 2000, where she obtained a certification as a nursing aide. She furthered her education at McNeese State University and received a B.S. in Nursing.

Upon graduation, her passion and nursing skills were used as a labor and delivery nurse at several hospitals in the Texas area. Her remarkable nursing talents were showcased in 2015 when she was nominated for Nurse of the Year and received special recognition in the Houston Chronicle newspaper.

Family and friends will most remember Rachel for her daunting personality, her slow, soft-spoken speech, her kindness, and her persistence.

Rachel accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Trinity Full Gospel Ministries, where she served on various committees that helped propel the ministry forward. She maintained a close relationship with Christ until her departure.

Rachel will always be remembered by her parents: Apostles Roderick and Theresa Henry; Zan Ryan. Her siblings: Orlando “Shepard” Smith, Roshawnda D. Henry, Roderick S. Henry 1st. Her aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren. Nieces, nephews, and her many friends.

Rachel will forever be in our hearts.
