HEAVEN'S CARPENTER
On Saturday, June 19, 2021 heaven welcomed our beloved Ronald Ray Guidry. Ronald was born April 20, 1957 in Lafayette Louisiana to Joseph and Stella Guidry. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana where he met his wife of 27 years, Johnnie Marie Chatman (Guidry). Ronald loved to work with his hands building and crafting whatever designs came his way. He loved watching westerns as well.
Ronald was a 1977 graduate of Marion High School where he sand in the school choir directed by Mrs. Rose Chretien. He had a beautiful voice, but was very shy and declined when asked to sing solos. After graduating from high school, Ronald attended Louisiana Tech University for a short period of time. After a brief college career, he was employed by Halliburton Company and Northrop Grumman for many years.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 27 years, Johnnie Marie Guidry; one daughter, Jocelyn Nicole Lefleur (Calvin) of Texas City, Texas; three sons, Tommy and Eric Chatman of Fort Worth, Texas and Brady Chatman of Houston, Texas; four granddaughters, Dalyn, Nadia, Courtlyn, and Ava all of Texas City, Texas; four grandsons; his mother, Stella Guidry of Lake Charles, Louisiana; seven sisters, Shirley Guidry and Kathleen Candler of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jerry Vital and Linda (Lumus) Semien of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Gwenda (Otis) Ambrose of Rosenburg, Texas, Monette Edwards and Theresa (George) Washington of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Anthony (Julie) Guidry and Joseph Lamar Guidry of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Brian Guidry of Houston, Texas; sisters in law, brothers in law, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Ronald Guidry was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ceasar Guidry; his brother, Rickey Guidry; maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
