Obituary
Roosevelt "Red" Captain was born October 2, 1935 in Kinder, Louisiana to the union of the late Manuel and Addie Captain.
He was a native of Kinder and lived there until he entered the United States Army in 1953. After returning from service in 1957, Red made his home in Los Angeles, California. Red continued his sevice to the nation as a civilian employee for the Department of Defense for over thirty-three years.
After retirement Red moved back to Louisiana to pursue his favorite hobbies, hunting and fishing. Red could be found at his favorite fishing hole almost everyday.
Red was a man of few words, but was thoughtful and sincere. Red was a beloved and well respected family man.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Daughter Jennie Lou Captain of Los Angeles, California;
Four brothers, Glen (Beverly) Captain, Daryl (Joan) Captain, George (Margie) Captain, Terry (Mary) Captain all of Kinder, Louisiana;
Four sisters, Geraldine (Francis) Lemoins of Lafayette, Louisiana, Kathy (Rex) Johnson of Beaumont, TX, Beverely (Larry) Johnson of Kinder, Louisiana, Emmer (Mickey) Smith of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
