Ruby Lee (Gordon) Boone

A faithful and devoted life came to an end on August 27, 2019. Ruby Lee Gordon Boone was born a twin on September 24, 1933 to Oncy and Mary Watkins Gordon in Lake Charles Louisiana. She was married to the late Melvin Ray “Johnny” Boone and unto this union four children were born Johnnie, Gregory, Terri and Vicki. Ruby was raised in Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church and later Joined New Covenant Faith Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Ray “Johnny” Boone, father Oncy Gordon, mother Mary Gordon, brothers Oncy Gordon, Austin Gordon, Brother/Nephew Austin Louis Gordon, sisters Dorothy Vital and Geraldine Cunningham, son-in-law Claude Syas and grandson David Robertson.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memories to her loving twin brother Robert Lee Gordon, one son Gregory Wayne (Elaine) Boone, three daughters Johnnie Boone Syas, Terri Lynn Boone, Vicki Renee Boone and one niece she cared for Mary Vital Rougeau, all of Lake Charles; 10 grandchildren Trekessa Syas, Brandi Syas, Cheryl Renee’ Robertson, Joseph (Latoya) Robertson, Ray (Kissa) Robertson, Desherick “DJ” Boone, Brandon Boone, Demetrius (Britney) Boone, Kristen Jenkins and Whitney Moore, twenty one great grandchildren, one great great grandson, sister-in-law Lillie Mae Gordon, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.
