Shannon Keith Starlard

Shannon Keith Starlard was born on March 24, 1960 to the late Aubrey E. Starlard Sr. and Elva R. Starlard.  He was the 5th child of eight siblings.

Shannon was baptized by the late Horace Allison of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.  He was a graduate of Washington High School and attended McNeese State University.  Shannon was an employee of LC Longshoreman and also worked as a security guard for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.  Shannon loved writing and meeting people.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Starlard of 34 years; his son, Shane (Truqurssal) Minor; five grandchildren; his siblings, Kevin (Clarissa) Starlard of Abbeville, La., Aubrey Starlard Jr., Randall Starlard, Bridgette (Jeffrey) Jackson, Sybil (Sidney) Jean and Kenneth (Barbara) Starlard of Lake Charles, La. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He now joins in that gift of resting, those who preceded him in death his parents, Aubrey E. Starlard Sr. and Elva R. Starlard; and one sister, Pamela D. Batiste.
