Shirley A. (Ellis) Henderson

Shirley A. Ellis Henderson 75 departed this life on Thursday August 12, 2021.

Shirley was born November 19, 1945 in Newton, Louisiana to Henry Ellis and Susie Brown.

Shirley worked as a cook at Holly Hill and at One Hour Martinizing for many years.  She enjoyed bowling, church, reading her bible and spending time with her grandkids.  

Shirley was married to the late Wilbert Henderson.

She is survived by her children, Donald (Joann) Ellis, Susan Dejean, Eavy Ellis and Billy Ellis.  one sister, Eavy Mae Ellis Simien; one brother, Billy Ray (Della) Ellis and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Susie Brown Ellis  and Henry Ellis; husband, Wilbert Henderson;  grandson, Parnell James Ellis; siblings, Henry Ellis Jr.,  Willie James Bilbo, Gean Wilson, Mary Francis Ellis, and Mable Lee Williamson.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Stevens' Funeral Home.
