Stephanie "Tiff" Gobert Obituary

Stephanie Wilson Gorbert, affectionately known as “Tiff,” departed this earthly life on Friday, May 29, 2026, after a lifelong and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Multiple Myeloma. She was 51 years old.

Tiff was known for her bold, outspoken nature, a trait she proudly carried as the youngest of five girls. From an early age, she made sure her voice was heard, and that same vibrant energy followed her throughout her life. She had a presence that could not be ignored and a spirit that refused to be dimmed.

A proud graduate of LaGrange High School, Class of 1993, Tiff was truly the life of the party. She brought joy, laughter, and excitement wherever she went, leaving lasting impressions on all who crossed her path.

Though diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early thirties, and later Multiple Myeloma, conditions that eventually confined her to a wheelchair, Tiff never allowed her circumstances to define her. While her life may not have unfolded as she once imagined, she made the life she had meaningful, purposeful, and filled with love. Even in the midst of constant pain, she found joy in simple pleasures like watching television and spending time with her family.

Above all, Tiff was a devoted mother who fought through her struggles to raise her children with unwavering love, strength, and care. Her heart expanded even more with the arrival of her beloved granddaughter, Ava, who brought her immeasurable joy and held a very special place in her life.

Tiff was preceded in death by her loving parents, Catherine and Enell Wilson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her son, Shannon Bell of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her daughter, Seleste’ Gobert of Lake Charles, Louisiana; four sisters, Elaine Wilson of Beaumont, Texas, Carolyn Moore of Garland, Texas, Linda Durgin (Hebert) of Ville Platte, Louisiana, and Carla Wilson of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her cherished granddaughter, Ava Marie Bell; two godchildren, Aislinn Moore and Tierra Nobles; and her devoted fiancé, Jermaine Moore of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
