It is with a heavy heart I announced that Terrance Glaspie passed away on January 1, 2024. He is 54 years old.
Terry was born in Lafayette, La. on November 18, 1969, but resided in Lake Charles all of his life. Terry was often seen walking alone, but he was very much loved, and never alone. Terry suffered from mental illness later in his life and was sometimes misunderstood. Please be kind to others that suffer from this because it is devastating to them and the families. Don't judge them, instead try to understand and just be kind.
Terrance was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillian Evans; aunts, Windy Young and Rosa Herbert and a very good friend, Brian LeBlanc.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Glaspie; son, Tevin Guillory; granddaughter, London; brother, Richard Dale Glaspie; sister, Chardae Bell Narcisse; niece, Zoe Glaspie and brother in law, Corey Narcisse and some very special people in his life, Aunt Julie, Michelle, and Ms. Sherry Butler.
He also leaves a host of relatives, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces and a special cousin, Joseph Jr. Williams whom he admired so much.
Terrance loved being with friends, fishing, walking, and lifting weights. He loved people so much. Please keep him in your prayers.
I want to thank all of his friends that helped and supported him and to my friends that prayed with me and gave me strength to keep fighting and like Terry said in his words "Never Give Up"
