Tina Marie Thompson

Tina Marie Thompson, age 55, was born June 10, 1968 in Lake Charles, LA to Alberteen Thompson. She departed this earthly life on October 12, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA. She was a graduate of Washington Marion Magnet High School Class of 1986. She graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education. She was a teacher at Wonderland of Play Head Start for many years where she made a difference in the lives of many children and families. She accepted Christ early in life and worshipped at Livingway Church. 

Tina will always be remembered by her love for others. She never met a stranger and knew everybody and loved everyone. Her smile was contagious and would light up any room. She had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. Tina's greatest joys in life included her grandchildren. She had them just as spoiled as they had her. There was nothing she would not do for any of them. Tina always enjoyed a good cookout or gathering with her special group of sister friends who became family. 

Tina leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, D'Airaka Thompson of Lake Charles, LA; her two sons, Albert (Brittany) Thompson of Shreveport, LA and Darion Thompson of Lake Charles, LA; her godson Ty'ree Mack of Metairie, LA; grandchildren Dontavion Landry, Khloe Thompson, Skylan Thompson, Serenity Thompson, Heaven Thompson, Davina Thompson, Gracelyn Thompson; sisters, Dwina and Angela; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alberteen Thompson; and brother, Kevin Thompson; and lifelong best friend Roxie Foley. Tina will be deeply missed. 

Tina's uncle, Pastor Albert Thompson Jr. of Garden of Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX will officiate the service.
