Wilda Mae Chapman passed away on March 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Alcius and Virsa Johnwell on May 28, 1942, in Chataignier, Louisiana. Wilda became a Jehovah Witness on September 8, 2001.
Her precious memories will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Mona (Kelsey) Simon, Pamela Mitchell, Freddy (Andrea) Chapman, Ginger (Thomas) Johnson; three brothers, Rayfield (Lois) Johnwell, Darrel (Tomica B.) Johnwell, Terry (Shirley) Johnwell; three sisters, Versa (Larry) Williams, Jerry Richard, Lillie (Sylvester) Williams; grandchildren, Deshia Senegal, Mark (Fiera) Senegal, Jason (Erika) Chapman, Antonio Seraile, Brittany Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell Jr., Brandon Chapman, Lakyn Chapman, Thomas Johnson, Jr.; fifteen great-grandchildren; Goddaughters, Linda Jones and Diane Williams; Godson, Darrel Johnwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; dearest friends, Barbara Hardy, Theresa Jones, Eula Cullivan, and Courtney Jiks.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Alcius and Virsa Johnwell; sisters, Shirley Brown, Wilma Dupre, Bernadine Walker, and Judy Bushnell; brothers, J.C Johnwell and Morris Johnwell; and grandson, Nicholas Senegal.
