Winnie Slaughter Jr.

Winnie Slaughter, Jr. was born to the late Winnie Slaughter, Sr., and Rena Arvie Slaughter.

He was baptized at an early age by Pastor O'Neal King at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member. He later followed Rev. King to Riverside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and a layman. He was also a faithful member of the male chorus and continued to serve in these roles under the leadership of Pastor Lee Wilson.

He loved barbecuing, fishing, listening to gospel music, and simply praising the Lord. He was preceded in death by Rollin Slaughter(brother), Patricia Slaughter (sister) and Carolane Slaughter(sister).

He leaves to cherish four sisters, Audrey Freeman, Judy (Lee) Wilson, Dru Ann (Nelson) Freeman, Jacqueline Trent, and a host of nieces and nephews.
